Tax Preparation

We prepare your tax returns as a part of bringing together your investments and taxes.

Looking For Tax Preparation?

  • We prepare client tax returns as part of bringing together their investments and tax preparation.

  • Combining tax preparation and investment management can be especially valuable, as it presents opportunities to discover and implement different planning strategies.

Intro Call For Prospective Clients

  • Could We Be A Good Fit? During our intro call, we will begin getting to know each other. We will determine if it makes sense to continue through our process.

  • New Client Process. See our â€‹New Client Process page for more information about how we will get to know each other.

  • Close To The Tax Deadline? If there is not enough time before the tax deadline to completely go through our New Client Process, we can start by preparing your taxes and then complete the process after tax season. When we work with clients on their investment and taxes, their tax preparation fee will be substantially discounted or reduced to $0. However, if you decide not to move forward with a comprehensive relationship, there will be a tax preparation fee.

Step #1 - Tax Engagement Letter

  • Timing. If you are a new client around tax season, you will receive a tax engagement letter after you become a client. Returning clients will receive an engagement letter in November.

  • Custom Fees. The letter includes the fees to prepare your return. Depending on the circumstances, we offer discounts for clients who work with us on investment management. See our fee schedule.

  • Document List. The letter will include a list of the documents we will need to prepare your tax returns.
